Recovery behavior depends on the software and action. A scene edit may support undo while a source-file change or timeline edit uses a different recovery path. Save a copy before significant work and check the application-specific guidance.
Understand what crosses the connection.
A file saved locally does not, by itself, describe how its task context is processed. Model requests can include prompts, selected project information, screenshots or other context needed for the task.
